WHAT WE DO Our approach to the project is to serve as advocates for our clients. Every client is unique, and we use a flexible approach to project direction to suit each clients' needs and involves some of these critical steps:
BALANCING We work with directors, trustees and clients to establish the project parameters by balancing square footage needs against the cost of construction and the total project cost.
PROGRAMMING We work with the institution to develop a complete, qualitative and quantitative description of the project that will serve as the basis for the design. Through interviews, surveys and research, we develop a program as an immutable document that will be referred to by the design team for the life of the project. It is the single most effective tool in communicating with the design team.
TEAM BUILDING The Core Team consists of the museum's project manager, Paratus Group, the architect's representative and the executive architect's project manager. We feel strongly that all the consultants be selected together by the architects and the owner. A broad list of candidates is developed, interviewed by the Core Team, followed with recommendations made to the owner. Through this process, we find that the most appropriate consultant is retained, and a platform for team interaction and support is created.
